Russiaan USC dismisses rumors of exit from warship talks with France


Russia's United Shipbuilding Corporation dismissed on Tuesday media reports that it had left talks with France on the purchase of four Mistral class amphibious assault ships.
Kommersant business daily reported earlier on Tuesday that Russia would only be represented by state-run arms exporter Rosoboronexport in talks with France's DCNS.

"This information is not true," USC head Roman Trotsenko said. "We are a consortium member."
Moscow and Paris signed on January 25 an intergovernmental agreement to jointly build the helicopter carriers for the Russian Navy.

Russia Tests Upgraded MiG-29 Jets For India


Russia's MiG corporation Friday carried out the first test fight of a MiG-29 fighter modernized under a contract with the Indian Air Force (IAF).




"On Feb 4, a MiG-29UPG fightercarried out its first test flight.The flight lasted for an hour and was flawless," MiG said in a statement.

Russian Bomber Planes Intercepted In Dutch Airspace


Two Russian bombers were intercepted by Dutch F-16 planes last night. The Russians had flown into Dutch airspace; it is not clear why the Russian planes were there.
The F-16s were ordered to monitor the movements of the Bear Tu-95 planes. Before they entered Dutch airspace, the Russians were escorted by the Norwegian and Danish air forces.
The F-16s followed the Russian planes until the British air force took over above the British Isles.

Russian Air Force Ready To Get 100 Su-35 & Su-34 By 2015

The Russian Air Force will receive up to 100 Sukhoi fighter jets by 2015, the Defense Ministry spokesman said on Sunday.















Fifty advanced Su-35 Flanker-E multirole fighters, billed as "4++ generation using fifth-generation technology," more than ten advanced Su-27SM Flanker multirole jets and five Su-30M2 Flanker-C multirole fighters are among the aircraft to be supplied.
